COANED is the Diocese’s Day Schools Board. It oversees and coordinates the work of our schools. The Executive Director of the consortium is the Rev’d Jorge Aguilar.
Our aim is to provide education with excellence for children in marginalised areas, a rounded education which will give them the best possible start to life, bring the best out of them and prepare them for further study. Besides the basic subjects, we also encourage subjects not usually available to children in State school.... art, music, dance, sport. Values are high on our list and our aim is children to study in a happy environment in which the well-being of every child is cared for and there is mutual respect.
Each school works closely with its mission church and families with their children are encouraged to play a full part in the life of the Church. Our children begin each day with prayer and when the time comes are prepared from First Communion. Our hope is that each child will have a living faith in Jesus Christ and a good understanding of their faith. The faith of children whose families belong to other churches is fully respected.
