The Study Center has been operating since 1992 with the help of various international sponsors and is part of the Compassion Sponsorship programme and serves over 220 children and their families. Every morning the 50 nursery aged children, 3 – 5years, come for preschool education, activities and their lunch, enabling mothers to go out to work and leave their child in good care. Every Wednesday to Friday the older children aged 6 to 18 attend the Centro Estudiantil, either in the morning 9am – 12.30 or the afternoon 1pm – 4.30pm session , they receive a nutritious lunch, educational tutoring, and biblical studies.

Financial and professional volunteer support for Centro Estudiantil will help to continue to provide much-needed services to children in one of Lima's poorest areas.
