Santa Monica Women's Prison in Chorrillos has both a maximum security wing for terrorist related offences and a common facility for women who have been indicted mainly for drug trafficking and others for violent crime. This ministry provides emotional and spiritual support the women, many of whom must care for their young children while in prison. The ministry also provides training in basic craft-making skills. The crafts are sold at the Cathedral during coffee hour and at other sales in Lima.

Support for this project is needed in the form of scraps of material from your own sewing projects, thread for sewing and making their unique and intricate greeting cards, and other craft materials.
